Welcome back, when my kid had major surgery he wouldn't drink any water, I was frantic because I didn't want him to go back for IV fluids. One of YT members suggested I make chicken soup no salt no onions added, carrots for flavor were ok. When the chicken is cooked let the broth cool and skim off as much fat as possible. Add just a TSP or 2 of broth to the drinking water depending on the size of the bowl, less is better then more. The rest of the broth pour into ice cube trays and freeze for later use. The chicken you can eat not for dogs. Since I have small bowls for my guy I added one TSP of broth, he drank the entire bowl of water. I added the broth to his water for almost one week before he would drink plain bottled water. Be careful not to add to much broth as the dog will drink all the water which may cause him to throw up. I have read they do sell canned chicken broth if you go that route make sure there is no salt or onion flavor added. I personally prefer to make it fresh because I know what is going into this broth,
Hope this helps.
