Thanks again. I saw the vet on Friday and told her I wanted to book my baby in for his neuter at 29 weeks. She hada few things to say.

- It can be done then safely, but in the UK they usually reccommend it a bit later than the USA to let them have the testerone in their bodies for a little while longer

- however, she didn’t think it would harm his health since he is a small breed

I explained my issues with not being able to take off time for the aftercare until the summer if I do not do it around Christmas (I cannot send him to daycare because he gets very excited when with other dogs and will likely want to play all day before his stitches are fully healed).

She reluctantly told me to go ahead and book it in, with a ‘if it were me I would wait, but if you can’t do the aftercare then its fine’

I booked him in for 22nd December and immediately got a frightened sinking feeling in my stomach about him really having surgery!!
