I'm sorry I can't answer your question. My Gage is experiencing "thinning" hair. He actually has only his top coat, no under coat. And unless I want to put him through a series of expensive tests, I'll never know what the cause is. I told the vet that as long as he's healthy and happy, the lack of hair does not bother me. Hope someone else can answer for you!
