I never done the rubbing nose in poop thing... I feel bad for them to have poop in their nose that they can't clean out
For me I just have my puppy glued to me 24/7, I am never far from her, if she sneaks a pee behind my back it's my fault not hers lol. I just scold myself. Frankly I find the whole clapping to get her attention then taking her to the pad helps a lot. There's literally no point in yelling at her 5 minutes after the fact.
