There are very few actual genetic test for Yorkies so those company’s that say they are checking for over 100 or whatever genetic issues doesn’t mean Yorkies and probably several other breeds. I suspect you should go to an orthopedic specialist to check hips and knees and then a othomologists to check eyes and so on. You also need a mentor that can help you with this and helping which could be very dangerous for your female if you don’t know every little sign of distress.
Understood and I do agree with you. I've actually bred in my younger years so I have a bit of knowledge. I also do have a mentor, several actually/so blessed. I noticed that not a lot of "small dog" breeders do any kind of testing on their dogs genetic or patella/hips. I personally, would think it would be of benefit to know any genetic issues/abnormalities as well as the blood line/issues/concerns before even consider breeding that female/male but that is strictly my own point of view.
