Default Update on Skye stray yorkie

Hello everyone. It’s been a little over 3 months since our little girl Skye wondered into our lives. She has come soooo far. Skin cleared up, went from 4lbs to 5.4lbs. Ears all clean. She still prefers her Daddy, but has warmed to me so much better than she was. She doesn’t cower anymore. Her hair has grown beautiful. Eyes nice and bright. Potty trained outside very, very well. She still won’t play with toys or play with our 3 year old Ruger (according to Vet they are the same age. I encourage play often. Ruger is always ready to play. He has tried to engage play with her, but she won’t. I’m so waiting on the day they will run and play together like other Yorkies I see. Will this ever happen?? She’s content to just sit on her Daddy, but at times will sit on me. She did come into a heat cycle a few weeks ago. Tomorrow Oct 15 she is being spay, teeth cleaned, dew claws removed. I’m so nervous, never had a female before. She will stay the night at Vet, against my wishes. She has separation anxiety so bad. I’ve had surgery and with all my appointments and hospital stay we had to leave them alone. A few times our grown daughter was able to keep them. I video recorded while out and she is so pitiful. Cries, screams, paceing. Doesn’t settle the whole time my recorder is going, 2 to 4 hours. Ruger just tries to ignore her. With her being at the Vet for at least 24 hours I know she will be a basket case.
Please send puppy prayers our way. We love her like nothing else.
Thank you YT Friends
