Maybe this could be helpful to someone. Our puppy was eating poop for a few weeks, was going crazy, picking it up in his mouth and running away from us. It started at around week 11, and he never ate it or tried to eat it before that. Tried pineapple, but it worked for a few days and then he was back at it again. After a few weeks he started having occasional unformed and very smelly poops, but continued to try an eat it. No other tummy or overall issues, appetite as usual, energy as well.

After our last trip to the vet she gave us Purina Fortiflora probiotic and Bibac+D3 drops (also a probiotic with vitamin D) to be given in turns for 10 days. The next day after 1st Fortiflora sachet his poop became firm and almost without any smell and he also didn't want to eat it. The second probiotic is supposed to also help up with a mild mange that he's had ever since we got him. It gets better and then worse again and our vet didn't want to give any medication other than special antibacterial spray and this probiotic before we finish our series of puppy shots. I couldn't believe my eyes when he pooped and walked away from it after weeks of poop-catching-games. ps.
