I agree with free feeding, it is suggested food be available at all times for puppies. These tiny ones have tiny stomachs, they can only eat little bits. I would measure one cup of food and measure how much is left over when you give her a fresh bowl, this way you will see how much she ate in a day. Chicken and rice have no calories, it may fill her up but not fatten her up. You should transition her to a puppy food that is high in calories.
