Training = Bonding Bon Bon will soon be a year old. I've had quite the experience with him and his brother from another mother. Arthur is ten days older and 71 pounds heavier. Yes, 71 pounds. My sister calls them 'Biggie and Smalls.'
Bon Bon responds well to a clicker for positive and has learned the word 'no' for negative. The more time I spend training him, the more he pays attention to me and wants to do the things I ask of him. It is the best feedback loop ever!
I think my favorite time with him is when I give him his 1/2 teenie Greenie each day. We have quite the game of it. He pounces, he flings, he twirls, he fetches, and eventually he takes it and gnaws it up.
Or it could be when I take off his jersey then brush and comb out his coat each evening while he sits on my lap.
But I also like when he curls up next to me to sleep.
And I like the way he does a 'snuffle' to wake me up at the same time each morning.
Did I mention our daily walks?
I don't think a day has gone by since I brought him home that he hasn't made me laugh. |
