It is obvious no one is going to agree here. My bone to pick is with the creators of this so-called "standard". Why should we be bullied into mutilating our dogs because a bunch of snobs who gave themselves the power to dictate what our dogs should look like say so. It is ridiculous to put so much stock into this. Granted I agree completely with preserving the integrity of the dogs by breeding out genetic defects and other health related issues. But when we start lopping off parts of our animals bodies, just because the all-mighty "standard" says so, I think we stop being thinking and rational individuals and become a bunch of robots who just follow along.
