So sorry your mom was in an accident. Scary. Hope she is okay.
Were I in your shoes, I'd contact the vets office to let them know there *might* be an issue; keep them in the loop as to Freya's transportation status.
Separately, have you figured out a safe travel carrier or device for your mom and Freya to use in the car? Something is better than nothing.
