Bravo to your rescue nature and outreach to a behavioralist.
I have not had quite the same experience as you, but have my own behavior issue with my little gal-puppy who attends playtime and classes with other puppies. Each of the trainer/supervisors have remarked that she has excellent play attitude and confidence, but that collapses 25% of the time when another dog's play goes too far. Little Dutch doesn't consistently push back quickly enough against the unwanted behavior.
