We have never had less than two yorkies. We started this practice when we were still working, but even now being retired, we know that if we are out, our boys will have a playmate/bff to cuddle with while we are gone. As earlier posts, the "introduction" period can be touchy at times as the new little ones are nippy and have boundless energy.

Don't force interaction. Our older dogs have always accepted the new ones, but when we introduced Tyrone a few years ago our older dog, Beau, could not keep up with Ty's boundless energy. They were great friends, but Beau would eventually want to take a nap, and Ty would keep bumping him awake with a toy in his mouth! Our answer was to bring in our third little one, Gus. The young ones are now 2.5 and 3 years old. Beau plays for awhile, then retreats to lay in the sun...everyone happy here!

Welcome, and good luck in adding to your "pack"!
