Tibbe gets 'hot head' during any cuddle session that's been a while since his last cuddle session. I mean that bony little head feels quite hot to the touch while his body stays cool. Little head cools right down if you stop the cuddles as I did first time I felt it to take his temp. Normal. I soon learned it just happens when he's feeling loved and glorying in one of our 'lovin's & huggin's & kissin's' sessions, especially first thing in the morning or after I return home from an errand or it's been a while since the last cuddles. I always know he's feeling happy and loved when I feel that burning, hot little head he's pressing up against me!
