A good vet will be someone that I can get a hold of either personally or by answering service even if it's 3 in the morning or on a Sunday afternoon.
Good vets are knowledgable and don't start of answers with..."WELL, I THINK THAT..."...had to stop using that one.
There are many aspects to a good vet. I have one in particular that is a gem. He's wonderful and has such a sense of humor. He's someone that I can relate to and don't feel intimidated by. |
I agree with all of this..but one thing that is important to me as well is having a vet that listens to me. I hate vets and doctors that think you don't know what you are talking about. My vet has always payed attention to what i'm saying and I think that helps in treatment of your pet. Yes they know how to treat but we know our animals and know when they aren't acting normal.
Also remember vets are only human and they can make mistakes too.
