I'm very new to dog ownership, and I've only ever had experience taking care of one Yorkie which wasn't even mine. However, I think with my life coming to a point where things have started to smooth out I am ready financially and mentally to take the plunge. The only thing that I am concerned with is I work a typical 8 hour shift so I have crossed puppies off of the list.

My question is, is it possible at all to find an adult .. from a breeder? I'm trying to work with "Save a Yorkie Rescue" and I completed and application but I am unsure as to what is going on as there is no confirmation of the application being processed or any contact. It's only been a few days so I will give them some more time before I reach out.
