If he just started peeing abnormally like this - then it could very likely be a health issue. He should get a urinalysis asap. Sometimes when dogs have a UTI or similar and experience pain w/ urination, they start peeing in new places bc they associate their usual peeing places with pain.

Also, is his *volume* of pee markedly increased? If so, you need to tell the vet he has increased drinking and peeing (polydispia and polyuria) - and in this case, you should ask Vet to rule out diabetes and Cushings Disease. Cushings is common among yorkies, btw.
