Thank you very much for your prayers, experiences and good wishes. As they get older I feel the risks are greater. My dog had the last dental eighteen months ago and his physicals in Feb and last week did not show any alarms, but then I noticed the missing lower tooth and found others there were loose, I panicked and saw the vet! The little tyke attacked the window drapes trying to get at the noisy gardener and that is what I think did the damage.
So probably good to get the dental now due to the loose teeth emergency. Thanks again.
