My Yorkies lost one of their primary caregivers in June. My father had watched over them while I worked. Max and Teddy had the same routine, meal times, 24 hours a day companionship for 9 years. I didn't know what I was going to do.

My brother assured me that dogs adjust. He was right. Max and Teddy still miss their grandpa a lot, but we are all adjusting.

There are still hard moments -- Teddy cries at night sometimes like Bella. Breaks my heart, but we are all comforting each other.

I'm glad you and Bella will have each other.
My condolences on the loss of your father. Bella's been doing a little better each night. The neighbor who is watching Bella is pushing me to make a decision on how I'm going to handle Bella while I'm at work during the day. I don't think that she wants a permanent Bella day care arrangement. I may end up getting a x-pen for her for during the day. I'm getting ready for the funeral, so I may not be on again for a while...
