It's possible the combo of the meds, food, *and* the pain itself could cause the vomiting.

Yes, I've dealt with neck/back issues in 2 of my yorkies who had IVDD - not uncommon in yorkies. The first thing you'd want are good xrays of neck and back to confirm IVDD or something else...I wouldn't be jumping into an MRI right away.

If IVDD is confirmed, then what most vets prescribe for 'flare ups' involves about a 10-day to 3wk regimen combining Prednisolone, Methocarbamol (muscle relaxant), and a pain med like Tramadol. And you'd always want that regimen on hand if there is IVDD.
