So? Last time i checked AKC registration is not contingent upon DNA screening. All you need to do to to get a litter registered is have two id numbers with full breeding rights and a number of puppies then bam, you say 4 pups they send four slips/applications, you have four pups and say you had 7 then you have 3 extra AKC registrations you can slap on 3 yorkie/chihuahua mixes.... it is also possible for a dog to become pregnant by more than one dog...Were there other breeds in the home of the breeder? next door? Its so not that simple.

If having the AKC registration umbrella means people can charge more for pups, a greedy, dishonest person will do what they need to do to get over.

Browse the classifieds and see how many shady looking "akc" litters are floating around....
It could just be a case of unfortunate genes coming together or a bad photo but I would honestly recommend a parentage dna test to be sure on that one dog.
