I didn't have any trouble getting a DNA sample from Bella, and she normally hates people messing with her mouth. You're not supposed to feed them before taking the DNA sampe (so it's not contaminated with DNA from food sources), so I took Bella's first thing in the morning. She was hungry, so she didn't mind something going into her mouth. Also, you don't need to open the jaws at all. Just go in between the cheek and gums--it's very easy access.
