After picking my dog up and bringing him home, the eye started weeping within 30 minutes. I called the clinic back and they told me to do cold compresses and check back with them in a couple days. I thought I was supposed to be doing warm compresses. But ok then. I also got a speech about how this is a major surgery and it may take him a while to recover. I was told at least 3 times by this surgeon that my dog would be back to normal in 24 hours and the surgery was no big deal. I chose him because he seemed so confident and comfortable with this procedure. I mean, they didn't even prescribe antibiotics or pain medication. And now that he has complications, they're acting like that never happened. So now I'm frustrated.
I have decided I am going to listen to my dog and let him tell me what he needs. If he wants to rest and be left alone, I will leave him alone. If he is crying and seems uncomfortable, he's going to the vet and I don't care what they say about it. I don't care if they ban me from the darn clinic.
