Hi,
Just got back from the vet nutritionist, Good news is his incision from the PCCL is healing well. Now for the bad news. Max weighs 6.8 and needs to get down to 5.5-5.9. She computed the amount of food he should get plus added a prescription. All food must be measured on a kitchen scale. She rated his musculature as good. The really bad news is that 50% of yorkies who have stones removed will get them back within two years. That is calcium oxilate stones. Every firstmorning, mid day and after eating at night, keeping a log,we must measure the specific gravity using a refractometer. It must be > 1.020. Additionally, he was given a prescription for potassium citrate.

What a thought! We can look forward to the possibility of this every few years.

Thanks for your good wishes.
