Back when I was showing, my mentors always talked about Yorkies being "square" meaning length should more or less equal to height and the topline should be dead level. My Lacie is 9" tall at the shoulder blades and is 9" long from base of neck to base of tail. Her chest measurement (taken right behind her front legs) is just a tad over 12" and she weighs 6 lbs. one ounce. In the pic below she was about 16 months old and weighed around 5 1/2 lbs.

The best weight is tricky - when you feel down the sides you should be able to feel ribs but they shouldn't be prominent.
