Please help,

We have had our rescue Yorkie for a year. He’s 8 and we knew he had behavioural problems but they have got worse. He was always restless at night but a noise outside frightened him in the middle of the night and he started barking uncontrollably. My husband tried to calm him and he bit him.

Now he barks every night, I have tried leaving the light on, playing music but nothing calms him. He stops if I take him down to the conservatory but when I leave him alone he starts barking again.

To try and get some sleep I stayed with him and slept on the sofa. I have been doing this for a couple of nights so my husband can get sleep as he has to get up early for work.

I know if I leave my Yorkie alone in the conservatory he will bark again, even though he spends most of the day there. I am worried about the neighbours complaining. I am getting very stressed because he won’t settle upstairs and I can’t keep sleeping on the sofa.

Please help!
