We took Prezly, our 9 year old toy poodle, to meet Roxie when we picked her up, so he would feel "included" in the whole deal. I know, it sounds like we treat them like human kids, but it seems to have helped them acclimate.
They play-fight constantly, and Prezly has figured out clever ways to get rid of her. For example, he will lead her toward the back door, let her go through, then turn around and go back in as I close the door. But they often sleep on the same dog bed, so they do get along. |
Welcome to YorkieTalk, John_R.
Your Roxie is just adorable!!!! I don't think it is at all odd that you decided to include Prezly when you picked up Roxie. It's wonderful that they are building a relationship--even if part of that is Prezly getting away from her.
Roxie is just as cute as could be. --KatysMom
