I thought I was lucky when Scottie came home at 5 months old and didn't make a peep. Some family and friends jokingly asked if he was a mute. I didn't care - I read so much about how Yorkies were yappy and thought I lucked out.

But nooope. No such luck. At around 10 to 11 months old, he discovered his voice. He started barking at ALL sounds. He has a very solid loud manly bark. It was a tough time. It took a LOT of effort to train him out of it. Now he's a good boy - when I say "enough", he stops.

Casie on the other hand, is very bossy, and barks out orders. She's a little smaller and her voice is significantly smaller. To the point where sometimes it's cute. haha... so I let her get away with a bit more barking.
Here she is singing her usual tune... https://www.instagram.com/p/BjkzuocB...ttie.and.casie

So anyway...don't be surprised if you need to look into some training techniques to control the barking later on
