Fabian has two baskets of toys. Many are plush with squeakers. He gnaws the squeakers out, so we can't leave him unattended with them. He plays with each one in turn, mostly because I take some out of commission to sew them back shut or put them through the laundry when they get dirty or smelly. After more than a year, most have missing noses and arms. He knows ***exactly*** how many he has and goes looking under furniture, in other rooms, etc. if I have to throw any of them away. He also barks incessently at birds and squirrels outside, so he love disemboweling the toys that look like them. <g> He's absolutely uninterested in the plastic bottle with the rope on the end that dispenses treats, because he knows he can get treats by simply begging!<g>. He likes tennis balls, but skins them, so we switched to the rubber Kong ones. We play fetch and tug of war a lot with him: the human interaction is key, but he'll also keep himself entertained.
