Default Penny and anal glands

So Penny scared the crud out of me today. She came in out of the rain and was wetter then I thought and she started shaking so I pulled her shirt off and wrapped her up in a fleece blanket for over 20 minutes but she was still shaking. Her gums were slightly pale so I gave her sugar paste but it didn’t really do anything. My mom took her and held her in the blanket for 15 minutes and still the same. Put her down and her tail was tucked tight and just not acting right. Took her to the vet where all the staff even said wow she’s not acting like perky Penny. The shaking stopped and the vet checked her out. Her temp was slightly elevated but not a concerning amount. While we were in there you could smell Penny’s anal glands so she checked those and they were very full so she emptied them. If she is still acting weird I’m suppossed to bring her back for blood work. She’s acting better but not 100%. Has anyone ever had a dog act sick from full anal glands?
