When I put her in her pen at night, she just stands on her pad and looks at me. And when I get up to go to the bathroom she immediately jumps up and looks at me. She's only now--after 36 days--starting to walk around and follow me "just a bit." |
Thank you for her back ground.
you must get her spayed now, females come into heat between 6 and 8 months old. Spaying is a must if you are not going to breed her and I do not advise breeding her unless you are an experienced breeder, and have done genetic back ground check on her, or a DNA to ensure she carries no bad genetics, I can go on and on, however, spaying is a life saving procedure for females, it will eliminate mammary gland tumors and Pyometra which can be fatal.
Freya may have had a bad or harsh experience at this lady's house that she is being timid. Play with her, if she has had all her vaccines take her for walks, she needs to build trust in you. Training her, taking her out for walks, playing with her helps build this trust, she is still not sure of you and reason she goes to the end of the sofa when you re-enter the room, seems to me she feels she will get scolded. Something happened in that other house and now you have to undo it with lots of love and positive attention, she is young and this should not take long to undo, but you have to help gain her trust in you and bond with you.
