I had went in my mom's room a few times between 11- and midnight and when I went in there he would bark, I am guessing he was barking to get out the cage. I had went upstairs to type some emails and I heard him bark and then I heard my mom yell my name. Louis had passed away. I have been reading online that he was barking because he wanted to see me again before he passed. I am just wondering if any of you have experienced this and if you have any idea as to why they bark before they die?

I am really struggling with his passing and what happens to dog's spirits when they leave this earth. I guess I am looking for comfort in knowing that he is Okay and is happy wherever he is. I am curious as to what you guys believe happens to their spirits once they leave this earth?
I'm so sorry for your loss.

In my experience, many dogs go away from their owners and want to die alone, in peace.
