If you think Maggie is truly having inappetance, then I really would get to a vet asap. Not eating and refusing food suddenly is a cardinal sign in dogs that something really is wrong...so is this new, or has she always been this way..?
When you're out in the yard, why not bring squeaky toys out there with you -- squeak them to get their attention, then throw them so they can go "hunt" them.
