 Hemivertibrae
My 6 month old yorkie pup, Mac, has just been diagnosed with a serious congenital condition called hemivertibrae. It causes paralysis of the rear legs. I think this condition is common in pugs, but I can't find anything about this condition in Yorkies. I am hoping for a remedy. I read that some pugs were treated with acupuncture and homeopathic remedies. Has anyone heard of this condition? Can anyone give me any information. We feel so helpless. He is on prednisone now, but we are worried when we taper it off that he will be in pain. Our surgeon said that there was nothing else to be done. |
