Pills I feel for you having to administer so many oral meds.
I don’t know what the fat content of the pill poppers is. But perhaps you could just use less to wrap up the pills.
Or find something to wrap pills in that she likes.
I had to give my dog Pepcid at night with her last meal and the pills were not accepted. So I got a compounding vet to make up a chewy, chicken flavored, pill. But you perhaps could get a flavor she likes. I put it in the food and he laps it up.
Compounded meds are more expensive, especially as you have so many. Perhaps the vet could suggest an easier form of the meds to give her. Or a mechanical pill popper that pops the pills down the throat and they have to swallow.
It does seem however that your baby does not feel good and taking anything by mouth is hard for her.
Pity they don’t have skin patch delivery systems for dogs as they do for humans! |
