I understand how devastated you are at the loss of your little one. I had Teddy for 14 years when he died of kidney failure. I vowed I would never get another Yorkie. But, guess what. I decided 3 years later that I wanted another Yorkie but not to replace Teddy so I opted to get a female (Gidget). I was NOT replacing Teddy because he will always be in my heart. I decided on female because I knew I wouldn't be tempted to compare the two. My little Gidget is as sweet as she can be but does not have the same temperament as Teddy. That's not a bad thing since she's her own little self with her own personality. Don't be hesitant about getting another Yorkie. They are so sweet and the best little companions. Grieve your loss but celebrate a new family member. Remember, you're not trying to "replace".
