If Bella has a scar, it's completely covered up by her leg hair. If the dew claws are removed at a few days of age like they're supposed to be, I don't think they should have much of a scar at all. It does sound from your description like they missed a joint. Hopefully your vet will tell you that it doesn't matter. It's the nail that tends to get caught on things, and so long as they removed the joint with the nail, it shouldn't be a problem. Let us know what your vet says.
