I've watched youtube videos of dew claw removal and I think it's as barbaric as tail docking, but with dew claw removal, at least there are beneficial effects, such as not having to worry about the nail getting caught on something and torn off.

I don’t think they got the joint on the one paw. Is it normal to have a pretty decent sized scar where it was?
