Bella had her dew claws removed at a very young age, before we got her. I've never felt any bumps in the location where they were. I didn't know it was possible to mess up their removal, but so long as the joint with the nail was removed, there shouldn't be any bad effects. I'm sure your vet will be able to tell you for sure.

I've watched youtube videos of dew claw removal and I think it's as barbaric as tail docking, but with dew claw removal, at least there are beneficial effects, such as not having to worry about the nail getting caught on something and torn off.
