Hi DAE,

I'm not able to diagnose your crusty eye problem.

Very late in life, my little one, Katy, developed some early am crusty eye issues. She was more than 10 years older than your pup.

Katy had some allergies and from time to time suffered ear infections. When one or both ears were causing problems, I'd sometimes find soft goop in her eye/eyes.

Eye issues can be the result of injury to or problem with the eye itself or, like Katy, the problem can be a secondary--caused by something else that is amiss.

I'm glad you have consulted with a professional. Your pup is young--hope you'll seek out a specialist if the problem doesn't clear up for you.

Thank you for taking good care of your sweetheart.
