Even with the threat of a painful death, I absolutely had to post this!
Pixie and I have a funny little night time routine... I ge ready for bed ( get undressed ) and brush my teeth. I have to brush them really well since I am in braces right now.. Pixie waits at my feet until I am done and I pick her up. while the water is still running i hold her with one arm, i cup the other hand under the water and make a little flowing pool of fresh water for her to get her night time drink out of. She loves it and looks forward to it every night! I also keep a ziplock baggie of Her kibble on the bathroom counter... not cause I meant to... but cause I had it left in my bag from our trip to Palm Springs and I was unpacking and I threw it on the counter and she knew it was up there. Anyway... I grab this baggie of kibble which is now a permanent fixture on the bathroom counter, and pull out a small hand full and place it on the floor by my bed on a silk scarf. Yes, I know... barf! Whatever! She loves it!
So last night... I was brushing my teeth, like normal and Pixie was getting impatient with me... She started barking and pawing at my ankle... well, her naked daddy looked down and said in the worst puppy voice ever "is mommy making you wait?" Then he reached down and picked her up and turned his sink on and cupped his hand and leaned over the sink with pixie and held her there while she lapped up the pooled water out of his hand! it was such a sight! I have never seen anything like it in my whole life!
The headline would read "43 year old man caught naked pampering His wives Pocket sized pooch" It was sooooo funny!
When I held out the baggie and shook it at him he grabbed it in defeat and scooped out a tiny amount of kibble and asked, is this enough? and I said, about twice that much. He reached in and got more and gave Pixie her bedtime treat and we laid there in the dark listening to her crunch her kibble while I grinned ear to ear!
I love my husband!
