When he starts biting your finger, remove your hand and in a firm voice say no biting, and quickly give him one of HIS toys to bite on. This has to be done fast, remove hand, say no biting and give him a toy all in one swift moment .Some members suggest saying OUCH in loud tone then give the toy. What worked for me was the command word of no biting. Rubber toys are good for biting. He is teething at this stage and those teeth are razor sharp so hard rubber toys are good. Be careful of the toys you buy, the squeaker should not be visible, that is the first thing they go for, they will remove the squeaker which can be swallowed.

I don't know about the gloves, I personally would not use gloves as a indication when gloves are on biting is ok, my concern would be when winter comes and you put on your gloves the dog will think it's game on and go for your gloved hand. Same with visitors entering your home, if they have gloves on he will go for them also.
