Hi and congrats on your new baby !

If it's as bad as this, you really do need to get to a vet ASAP bc it's likely an actual eye infection and he needs prescription eye ointment. Take a picture of how it looks in the morning at its worst so that the vet can see it. It's not normal *at all* for it to get this bad - but we've all been there w/ eye infections in our kiddos - it's not uncommon at all.
