For fleas I use Simparica, it's a once a month pill, can get only at your vet, I buy mine from PetMeds on line it's less expensive then what the vet charges, but they contact your vet to make sure that's what has been subscribed.

Heartworm I use Interceptor PLUS, a once a month pill, again you can only get this at vet, I believe PetMeds may also carry this, again, they contact your vet first.

I don't use flea collars, if you have success using on it on your chi boston you can try it on Tika but keep in mind, your chi boston has very short fur, Yorlkies do not, so I would check her often to make sure the flea collar is working for her. With the dark hair on yorkies sometimes it is difficult to spot fleas unless they are on their the belly area.
