We use Seresto for Mario and his brother. I am happy with it since we are in Texas and almost nothing else seems to work here.
However, make sure your heartworm treatment does not have flea medication in it as well. Both topical and oral heartworm medication can have flea medication in them. Mario takes a combo (HW, flea and intestinal wormer) pill 4 months out of the year, and just HW and intestinal wormer pill when using the Seresto.
Using two different types of flea medication can overdose them and lead to seizures etc.....
