It sounds silly, but maybe if you to carry something like an oversize pompom on a long stick that you could wave around as you walk...Maybe that would be a preventive of sorts? Wouldn't just the mere presence of a human in close proximity to pups be a deterrent? I don't blame you for being nervous, but I'm sure there's an answer. I think your collies staying close to pups is a good defense. |
