I bought my Gidget at 7 wks from a breeder I found on line. When I asked about seeing the puppies at her house, she said she was very leery of having people she didn't know come to her house. I got the impression that she was single (looked to be in her late 40's or early 50's. Gidget is now 2 years old. I met the breeder on a Sunday afternoon in a shopping center parking lot. She was so adorable that I put all reasoning to the wind and paid $600 and brought her home. No AKC papers but did have shot records. Took her to Vet on Monday morning and he said she was in good health. Was on pins and needles for months after that just waiting for the shoe to drop. Fortunately, her only Vet visits to this date have been well checkups and booster shots. I would never recommend a transaction like this to anyone else. But fortunately it all worked out for me. |
