My 3.5lb Marcel was on cyclosporine (Atopica) and did great on it...no side effects at all. You could try Atopica instead though.
As far as hair loss - allergies don't really *cause* hair loss, per se. Do you mean some itching/scratching is causing it...or what do you mean exactly?
