My husband and I are the same! We got our two yorkies, Tyrone and Gus, to add to our family right when my husband was retiring. We have never boarded a dog in our lives...all three (including our 11 year old poodle Beauregarde) make roadtrips from Florida to NY and Pittsburgh to visit the grandkids 2-3 times per year. We knew that 2 yorkies would mean no "travel" during retirement, but we couldn't be happier staying home and loving our furkids!
