If neutered early before leg hiking becomes a habit it may stop the marking. I understand the need for belly band but I myself would be concerned about getting baby / puppy rash from pee against his skin.

I have a adopted boy, have all his medical records, he was neutered at 8 months old, he potty's only out doors and he squats, there will be a time or two the will hike his leg on a blade of grass, he has never hiked his leg in the house.

Hope when he's neutered the hiking stops.
